What a week!

My, oh my! Time sure does fly :) What have I been up to? Well, as some of you may know I am in the process of selling my house. This means a lot of showings! A showing is when someone makes an appointment to come see your house with their Realtor. When someone books a showing I have to clean the house and make it look presentable and leave with the dogs so they can look at it alone. Well, my house has had 8 showings this month so far. I had one tonight and I have another one tomorrow morning! I feel like all I do now is clean and it sucks, haha. The good news is, however, that we have accepted a contingent offer and those people have also accepted a contingent offer. Have I lost you yet? Well today I just found out that the people whose offer we accepted are now working with a NON contingent offer. If it all works out then I get to move on with selling my house to them and the builders will start on my new house. Woohoo!

What else happened this week? Well, besides house showings I got into a little car accident last Saturday. Some woman went through a red light as I was turning left. So she hit the back driver’s side tire, door and quarter panel (I think that is what they call it. I dunno, it was a new term for me). I’m just so happy I’m ok. I did hit my head on my side window, but I’m lucky she didn’t push me into the other two lanes of traffic that were near me. It could have been a lot worse! The damage to my Saab isn’t bad… at least not when compared to what happened to her Suzuki Grand Vitara. Her whole front drivers side was crumpled in, headlight smashed and her bumper was hanging onto the street by some plastic or something like that. The police officer laughed when she saw her car and said, “Tell me there was some damage to this car before you hit her.” The woman was like, “No, it was like brand new.” So either my car is a beast, or she just hit me in a good spot. All I know is I miss my baby (my car) and don’t feel very safe driving my rental (a Camry) in all this snow. I miss being up high, in a SUV with all wheel drive AND snow tires. Can’t wait for it to be all fixed!

Well, it’s been a long day of cleaning so I think I should probably go get some work done so I can get to bed at a decent time. Yes… on a Friday night, I know!
